Safeware will either dispatch a box kit or provide a pre-paid shipping label to bring the damaged unit to a repair facility for diagnostics and repair*. |

In the event of theft, be sure to report the incident to the local Police Department and obtain a copy of the police report. The report must include the make, model and serial number of the stolen property. If the theft occurred while overseas please obtain a translation of the report.

Once received, the unit will be assessed by a technician. If the unit is repairable it will be repaired and returned to you with all shipping charges being covered by your Safeware policy.
If the unit cannot be repaired, your device will be replaced with one of like kind or quality. If a like kind and quality replacement is not available, you will receive a claim payment equivalent to the cost of a like kind and quality replacement at the time of claim.

Required documenation for any theft claim:
1. Statement of Events
2. Proof of Ownership
3. Police Report
Once the required documentation has been received, thefts claim will be settled in one of two ways:
1. A replacement unit of like kind and quality
2. A claim payment equal to that of a like kind and quality unit available for purchase on the retail market, less any applicable deductible.
