This page is designed to give Campus Store managers and staff access to all of the tools and information needed to be successful with the operational components of the Safeware program. Of course, your dealer portal is always the #1 place to go (see link at the top of this page to access the portal), but this page is filled with quick links to help you get the job done.

Just in case you want to take it up a notch and do even more with Safeware, here is a breakdown of all 4 of our programs. Read up on the ones you don’t currently offer and let your Safeware representative know when you’re ready to broaden your horizons!

Card Program

With nine plan types, Safeware’s Card Program offers a variety of coverage to fit every device make and model. You choose! 1, 2, 3, or 4 year terms are available.

These cards can be purchased to cover any type of consumer electronics: tablets, laptops, smartphones, TVs, high-end headphones, gaming systems, etc. It’s all based on the purchase price of the device and the number of years for which you’d like coverage.

Customers have 1 year from the date of device purchase to add a Safeware Protection Plan, as long as the device is in good condition and a proof of purchase is available.

Post Repair Program

Don’t let it happen again! Safeware provides 1 year of coverage on devices that are repaired by your campus store as long as they have a 90-day parts and labor warranty (provided by your service center). These cards are also available on refurbished units that do not already have a Safeware Protection Plan!

Keep in mind that if you are not a self-servicer with Safeware (or if you’re a Follett store), these cards are not available to you just yet.

Institutional Program

Safeware’s Institutional Program provides coverage for faculty, staff, and institution-owned devices. Coverage can be warranty only or warranty with accidental damage from handling.

Theft coverage is optional as an add-on, and we offer discounts for purchases of 100+ of the same Protection Plan SKU. Coverage is available for any make or model of device.

Think: laptops, desktops, printers/scanners, digital displays, camera equipment, tablets, and more!

Trade-Up Program

Out with the old, in with the new! Safeware’s Trade-Up Program allows customers to trade in their old devices for store credit to use on future purchases, including new devices, tech accessories, or Safeware Plans! The perks?

  • Your store makes a commission on every trade.
  • Our program requote rate is less than 3 percent.
  • Safeware provides all the shipping materials and shipping labels.
  • Safeware provides all the marketing and web support you need to get this program up and running!

You can visit the Program Info tab of your Safeware dealer portal for print materials OR the Safeware University Platform within your dealer portal to give your staff access to fun and engaging videos that will teach them the basics of the plans and how to sell them. Plus, you’ll be able to track everyone’s progress throughout the training series.
