This app is centered around people focusing on what’s important. There are analytical features that allow you to understand what you’re doing on your phone, when you’re doing it, and how long you’re doing it for. You can set reminders or restrictions on apps of your choosing, as well as block calls and messages for a set period of time. Offtime strives to fight procrastination and allows you to get more involved in what’s around you.


This app is not as involved in analytics as Offtime, but it does tell you how much time you spend on your phone each day. It also allows you to set reminders and limits of your choosing to be more productive. There is also a family setting that allows time for everyone to be “screen free.”


This app highlights phone addiction and how to fight it. There are features that monitor your phone use, time management tools, statistics, and more. This app aims to maintain a controlled digital lifestyle to help fight addiction to your phone.

While these applications do similar things, they are all slightly different and allow for different experiences. Some users may want to manage their time better, while others might want to fix an addictive habit. Regardless, it’s always a good idea to take time to disconnect from technology and reconnect with the world around you.
