The Best Study Apps for College Students

It’s no secret that college students study on crazy schedules and rely on their peers for motivation and support with projects and study sessions. In order to help make the late-night exam prep a little easier, we’ve polled our team and compiled a list of the best study apps for college students.

  1. Quizlet – Quizlet lets you make flashcards, games, and other study/memory activities all from the comfort of your smartphone (or tablet or laptop). Plus, this app offers the added perk of allowing students to share notes. Whether working in a study group, memorizing lines for a presentation, or remembering vocabulary words, this app helps you learn in a fun, easy-to-create way!
  2. – You probably know the website, but now it’s an app, too! It’s incredibly easy to whip out your phone or tablet and look up a word or phrase that is confusing you. Don’t let Shakespeare homework or biology lectures stump you; use to stay ahead of the game.
  3. Evernote – This app is list making, article clipping, picture sharing, note taking and note sharing, all in one convenient app. It’s also a website, so you can link all your lists to any device. Need to write down homework assignments, keep a grocery list or remember a recipe? This is the app for you!
  4. EasyBib- If you need to quickly cite your project references, this app is very convenient. You can choose to cite in MLA, APA, or Chicago style (among other options). You can create a citation for any type of format including books, videos, journals, databases, websites, and more!
  5. Mathway – This app is your one-stop-shop for math help. It’s basically a private tutor built right intp your phone! Check your answers and get help with basic math, algebra, calculus, statistics, chemistry, graphing, and many other forms of math.
