Card Program

With several plans to choose from, Safeware’s Card Program offers a variety of coverage options designed to fit YOUR device needs. You choose! 1, 2, 3, and 4 year terms are available.

These cards can be purchased from participating college partner stores to cover any type of consumer electronics including tablets, laptops, smartphones, TVs, high-end headphones, gaming systems, and more! It’s all based on the purchase price of the device and how long you’d like your device to be covered.

Post Repair Program

If it has happened once, it’s likely to happen again!

Safeware provides 1 year of coverage on devices that are repaired by your campus store as long as they have a 90-day parts and labor warranty (this is usually provided by the company that repaired your device but you may want to check just to be sure). These cards are also available on refurbished units that do not currently have a Safeware Protection Plan!

Trade-Up Program

Out with the old, in with the new! That's the goal of our Trade-Up program!

Powered by Clover, the Trade-Up program allows students to trade in their old devices for store credit to use on future purchases, including new devices, tech accessories, or Safeware Plans! Common Questions About The Campus Store Program.

All plans in Safeware’s Card Program protect against mechanical/electrical failure, manufacturer’s defect issues, failure during normal use, and accidental damage from handling (cracked screens, liquid spills, drops, falls, etc.).

Hmmm… not much! A few examples would be:

•Abuse or neglect of a device (think: you dropped it out your dorm room window to see what would happen.)
•Normal consumption of a device battery.
•Mechanical issues happening within the manufacturer’s warranty period (because your device manufacturer should be helping you take care of those issues.)
•Lost property or mysterious disappearance of a device.

It’s easy! Once a claim is filed and approved by Safeware, we’ll direct you to one of our authorized service locations based on where you are located and the type of repair work needed on your device. Many of our Campus Stores do their own service, so that’s usually the preferred option. However, if you’re traveling or not on campus for any reason, we can help you find another location convenient to you!
